Hluleka Nature Reserve

Hluleka Nature Reserve Some 772ha in extent, it is on the coast midway between Coffee Bay and Port St Johns, some 90km from Mthatha. Established on the old Strachan’s Grant farm, it is made up of two magnificent forest reserves and its accommodation facilities have recently been refurbished. The reserve protects a core section of rapidly diminishing South Coast Forest and its plants, and animals including Burchell’s zebra, blesbuck and wildebeest. Lovely reef and clear waters allow snorkelling and diving, while trails along the beach or in the forest will deliver excellent bird and wildlife viewing.
